Just trying to get ready for this weekend and things are moving along wonderfully. The classes still have room if you want to sign up and believe me they are well worth the money. Cheryl has taught these classes in Texas and other states and has really gotten a great reception. Ladies have just loved them.Don't be left out. Call today.

I have been scrap booking for about 7 years now and some of the techniques that she is about to demonstrate are brand new to me. I pride myself on trying to keep up with all the new stuff ,so this is really gonna be interesting. Stretching the limits, that's what classes are all about. Improving on something you love. I can't wait.

Rescheduled Halloween crop. Due to family scheduling the Halloween crop for this Saturday is changed to next Saturday. Along with this from 3-6 we have a costume parade for your children. Bring in your little tyke in for goodies and Halloween fun before you head out trick or treating or to the Harvest festivals. There will be coloring activities and plenty of children's games to play. Along with treats. Come in for a safe alternative. The crop will be from 10-10  with plenty of prizes and games. You don't want to miss out.

Excited about this weekend

This weekend is our Christmas Extravaganza with Cheryl Mezzetti. I am so excited because this is our second in a series of nationally known scrapbook artist to come to the store. The first Sally Lynn MacDonald with copic markers went so well. I am so sure that this weekend will be just as thrilling.

First , for all those that have signed up, here is your class list of needed supplies. Now if you do not have some of the items. call the store. We ordered most of them and can put some aside for you. Just make sure you call because quantities are limited.

Make sure that you call if you need any of the items. I can put you down for them and they will be ready for you in the class.

There still is room but you only have till Wednesday to sign up. We have had to reschedule the Halloween crop due to family situations. If you have paid for the crop we can refund your money or put it towards next Saturday's Halloween crop. (the actual day of Halloween). Look for all those details tomorrow.

Gettin in the Swing

Thought I would change the colors of the blog to get you in that Halloween mood. Though we do not officially celebrate Halloween in our house, I love all the cute things that are used for decorating or the great selection of costumes that are available. It is just a fun holiday. Just glad the real meaning has been replaced with fun stuff.

Anywhoo the store is coming along nicely with all our fun Halloween things. Great display of embellishments. The Doodle bug stuff is so cute. Finally finished putting out our Christmas display of papers. So far we have Cosmo Cricket, Graphic 45, Pink Paislee, Basic Grey, and the most beautiful Creative Imaginations. To come is SEI, Crate Paper and more Creative Imaginations. Of yes Nutmeg from Cosmo Cricket. So make Scrap Chic your Christmas headquarters.

Still room in Myra's album class and Robin's copic 101 class this Saturday.

Make sure you sign up for our Halloween Crop on the 24 10-10. I am putting together the best prizes. I am so psyched about Halloween. Fun weekend

So this weekend we went to a scrapbook store owners retreat. Yes, we get together and hash out all the great ideas we have to make our stores better for you! Sounds like great fun huh? lol Naw it really is. We talk , laugh, scrap, fuss, scrap, talk and realize its 6 am and we haven't accomplished a thing! Joyous! It's really a hoot though. Our stores are all so different but our goal is the same-to carry the best scrapbooking supplies with the best customer service all for our customers enjoyment. The future is looking up for you ladies. We have planned soooo much. After this post I will post the slide show of the beautiful cabin we were in. So fun.

Let's see the goodies that are available this week. First, we have all the Pink Paislee lines. You need to see them. They are so beautiful.  Next we have some October Afternoon, Glitz, soooo much Doodlebug Halloween that you will love it, new Christmas from Creative Imaginations and one more that I can not think of. You'll just have to come in and see.

Spaces are available for the Copic 101 class and the album class. You really need to see the great things that our local teachers are doing. They are seriously the BEST around!

Cheryl Merezzetti's classes have gone over so great all over the country. Let's show her some love here in the south. The Fall leaf album has another picture on the slide show so you can get a better look. It is actually an 8x8 album. Great for your 4x6 pictures. It appears small but its not. The same with the 25 Days of Christmas album. The crop will be a Halloween themed crop. So make sure you sign up for that. Plenty of great treats and fun.Just $10 with dinner. Cheryl will be there to do a great make and take and demos. Oh yes prizes if you wear a costume! We have some really nice ones! Do not miss out.

Class recap

So I decided to make a slide show of all the classes offered for the rest of the month. That way you can see them first hand. They will always be at the top of the typepad post. They will change as we add or delete classes so make sure that you take a look at them.

Just so you can put these on your calender.

October 17th Robin's Copic 101 class 10-12 This class is aimed at beginners who want to learn how to use the copic markers correctly. She is a certified copic marker instructor and is really really good at instruction. One of the BEST local teachers around. Do not miss this class.

October 17th Myra's Main Event Album class 3-5 $50 You will receive enough materials to complete a 20 page album. This is a great class for those beginners who want to learn techniques and actually complete things. LOL If you are anything like me, I go to class and never get the project completed. Nope Myra will make sure you walk out with a great album all ready for pictures. Another GREAT local teacher.

October 24th Cheryl Merzzetti (Nationally known teacher) will host a demo crop. If you love to alter things, this is the crop for you. Just $10 and you will learn so much. Includes demo things. lunch also.

October 25th Cheryl will present her 2 classes 10-12 and 3-5 Fall album and 25 Days of Christmas Album. She gave me the technique list and girls this classes are gonna be awesome. I will miss the Fall class but definitely will be in the house for the Christmas one. I can not wait. You will learn soooo much. Using materials that I have never even heard of and techniques out of this world. Join us. Worth the $40.

Now just hints for next months classes. Amy will be doing an altered art class with Cosmo Cricket. there will be a vintage class and more things to put on your calender. So gear up for some great classes.

Yes I am awake at 4 something in the morning. Hmm let's see why. Oh yes, my business partner decides to text me at 3:15 am. Can't sleep now. You have to love her. What she was thinking only her and the good Lord know. LOL

Rain Rain go away

So the El Nino and all those other weather terms are hitting us hard. Sorta know how Noah felt in the Ark. But this is the perfect time to get those rain shots. Seriously, try some. Cover your camera in freezer bags and plastic grocery bags, when the rain starts to drizzle, go outside and try your hand at catching a drop on film. Would make a cool layout picture. If you're cool like that, you can get those raincoats for your cameras too.

Sorry people I am trying my best to get those pictures up. Robin or Fran, I need help. I can find them on my computer but can not open them. HELP! I promise to have them up.

What a great weekend.

The class on Saturday was fantastic. Sally Lynn is sooo talented. Serious ladies the day was awesome. The class was sold out. Thank you so much. (on our way for more National teachers ) The album class slide show will be up later today. Thanks to Jean Coto for the great pictures! Ok my fault that I can not find my zip folder on my computer when I downloaded the pictures. Have saved them but can't seem to locate them. Don't laugh people. Doctorate means nothing to this computer illiterate person. I really need to take some beginners classes in computer operations. Yuck! LOL

This week we are focusing on World Card Making Day. There will be a great crop where you can learn new techniques for your cards during the mini classes offered and start making your Christmas cards at this crop. We will have several different types on display so that you can copy and carry. that will take the guess work out of this years cards. Lots of great things happening at this crop also.

Lots of goodies are in the store so make sure you stop by and pick some up.

Sign up for Cheryl's classes for later on in the month. I am telling you you don't want to miss these teachers. They are GREAT and we really want to make sure that we show them love while they are here.
