Weekend Fun

Starting to tomorrow is the scrapbook expo and I am sure many of you are planning to attend. There are classes and crops and all kinds of fun stuff to do. While you are enjoying this weekend full of activities, don't forget to stop by Scrap Chic and check out our new paper that has arrived. You will love the new Rusty Pickle and Basic Grey.

Tomorrow is our SHOTS night and if you didn't get in for the expo crop, come join us. For $5 you can make the cute mini album pictured below. Now I did not put lots of embellishments on it because I wanted you to see the paper but in your kit you get chipboard covers, eight pages, bling, flowers, Heidi Swapp journaling tabs, ribbon and so much more. You can't even get the paper for $5. So pick up your kit on the the way to expo crop or stay and crop with us. Just call to make a reservation or reserve your kit.

Visited the cutest scrapbook store in Pooler, GA yesterday. The Scrapbook Shack is right outside Savannah and really nice. Make sure you drop by there when you are in the area. It is well worth your time. The owner and her mother are soooo nice. Believe me you will love it.

Enjoy the expo but don't forget about our fantastic sales going on all weekend.

Until then.

Hope to see you in the store.

Family Time

The summer is a time to enjoy family and friends and catch up on all that has been going on during the busy year. This weekend Rob's family celebrated with a family reunion in Charleston, SC. Along with 300 other members we enjoyed tours, picnics, swimming and family gatherings.  It was just what the we needed to reacquaint ourselves with the family.

This summer plan an outing just for your family. Make it special by including a picture session or a scrap booking moment that will highlight your time together.  The memory of that special outing will delight you and your family for years to come.

This week we have in the new Basic Grey and Rusty Pickle 4th of July paper. Lots of new photo book stuff and expecting the new Websters pages soon. Give Cindy and Honey much love when you come in. Yep I am still enjoying my family time.

The sale for this week will include Heidi Swapp paper, Fancy Pants paper, Sassafrass paper, KI paper, My Little Shoe box paper, My Minds Eye paper, Prima paper, Heidi Grace, and 7 Gypsy paper all at 30% off. Yes CHA is coming up and lots of stuff will be shipping soon so we need to make room. Come take advantage of the sale this week and catch up on your paper needs.

I will put up some peeks this week for your opinion because I am making my list and what you want is what I want.lol

Happy 4th

What a great holiday. Being with friends eating lots of yummy food and just relaxing. What could be more fun?

Winning a 4th of July contest.

This will be our first layout contest. Make a page with your favorite 4th memory and win a pack of new paper. That easy. You can send a photo of the layout to scrapchicboutique@yahoo.com. I will post them and let you know who the winner is. We will have an independent judge for the contest. Let me add a little to that prize. What about a $10 gift certificate also to the store. The judging is not on techniques or how wonderful you scrap but on the message " 4th Memories". Who tells the story the best. So they can be simple, one page, or full of every embellishment you own (like mine). Your style. It's all in the message.

Post by July 10th.

Have a wonderful 4th, stay cool and safe,

Until then.

Sad News

Yesterday was full of sad news. First Farrah Fawett and then Micheal Jackson. Though they are both in a better place, it is very sad to lose people that we admire so much. What girl in the 80's did not want to have the Farrah hairdo. Even African American girls copied it. We all loved Charlie's Angels. We could identify with 3 strong women cracking cases and still looking glamorous. It was one of the best shows on TV.

Micheal jackson. What can yu say about him. The music was the best. When my youngest brother was born I begged my mother to name him Micheal. Boy I cried for days when she named him Christopher. So she said that I could pick one of the Jackson Five's name as a middle name. Of course I said Micheal but it just didn't sound right. So his name is Christopher Jermaine. That is how much influence the Jackson Five had on my life. Loved every album even though I really am not into music much. He is really gonna be missed. He influenced so many people around the world. I can not believe that we will no longer see his moonwalk or hear his whispery voice. He will be missed.

As for reflections. Think about how people have influenced your life. Through music or art or just being a friend. Now is a perfect time to journal your thoughts. They would greatly appreciate it.

Reflect on life today. It's Good.

Until then.

Coming along.

For the past few days I have been trying to get our clearance room together for your shopping pleasure. I have so many ideas for the room that my mind is having a had time with keeping up. I want to have clearance things in there, individual piece things, cool kits and so much more. Just trying to narrow it down is becoming hard. So just bear with me. You will definitely be making trips just to see what we have in the clearance room.

Just want to remind customers that we have tables open everyday for your cropping pleasure. You can come in and use whatever you want for $7 the whole day. We have accucuts, sizzix, 12x12 scanners and printers and of course a store full of great paper crafting supplies. Come spend a day with us in the crop rooms. Or get some friends together bring lunch and enjoy a great day of socializing for the low, low cost of free. (if you don't use any equipment). Great way to spend those hot summer afternoons.

Expecting so much more inventory next week. Oh received some of the cutest embellishments from KI. You just need to see them. Great for those summer pages.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Scrapbookers is still going on so make sure that you get your bag. We have some great things going on.

Laetitia has a card class this morning. Make sure you call to see what is up. Great techniques all the time.

Stay cool.

Until then.

Summer came burning in!

Boy has it been hot! You would really know that if you had been to Scrap Chic over the weekend. Both AC units went out on us. Talk about a sauna but we managed to get them fixed in a hurry. Believe me, the adhesive was gonna melt if we didn't. LOL So we are back to the nice cool store (literally cool) that you all know and love.

But just to let you know though, after spending almost 7hours with the air condition man, I came home to no AC or electricity. Seems that Saturday was the day for me. And do you know that the electric and AC people want you to almost buy new units to come out on the weekends? It was soooooo expensive. I'm getting my doctorate in the wrong thing. It needs to be in electrical repair with an emphasis on heating and air. I could buy two stores with what they charge. Had to have air though. Grouchy teenager with a sleepover Saturday. My luck.  Oh did mention that my truck broke down and had to have it towed also. Yep a great weekend.

It's all fixed now and we are gonna celebrate.

This week's sale is gonna be called "WE HAVE AIR EVERYWHERE AND CAN GET THERE!" What's on sale?  Well today because I am happy about the air thing,  Let's take 10% off your total and have a few paper lines including embellishments on sale. The lines will be Heidi Grace, 7 Gypsy, Heidi Swapp, KI, Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants, My Minds Eye., Prima, American Crafts, SEI and Bo Bunny all for 20% off. So you get the paper for 20% off and then you take additional 10% off at the bottom. hey that's good. (does not include thickers for American Crafts)

We are expecting the new SEI papers, and Websters papers soon. Keep a look out.

Alright gonna lay here in the AC for about 15 more minutes before I get dressed. Must relish in my well paid for air. Have a BLESSED day ya'll.

Until then.
